4 Person Tent With Screen Room

So you are looking to buy a new or used 4 person tent, but you have no idea where to start or what type of tent would best suit your needs. Well, there are several things that you need to keep in mind before you make any purchase. Here is a helpful buying guide that will get you started on the right foot!

o How many campers are going to be using the tent? If there is only one person who will use it then a solo tent is probably going to be just fine. However, if you are planning on bringing someone else and they are going to be using the tent more then you may want to consider getting a two-man tent. A good rule of thumb to go by is that if you are bringing three people then buy a four-man tent.

o What do you want the tent for? If it is just for occasional overnight camping trips then you probably don't need or want the screen room feature. However, if you are an experienced camper then having the room is nice. The last thing you want is for your tent to blow away while you are sitting up high in the air!

o Where is the tent going to be placed? Do you plan to set it upright in the middle of your yard where everyone can see it? Or is it going to be set up so that it is out in the open where it is out of the way? There are some nice tents that come with an entrance door in them. This is nice because it makes it easier for you to get in and out without having to go through the tent-like you would if it was standing in the middle of your yard.

o Who will be using the tent? If it is just for a family reunion you may not want one that is too big. But if you are bringing the boys and the girls for the weekend you might want to go with something a bit bigger so that everyone can have a good amount of room to spread out.

o What is the interior design going to look like? Some people like to have a screened-in room while others prefer to sit in it. This is one of the first things that you are going to want to decide on. Some people like to keep it simple but there are those who like to go all out and have every single corner of the tent decorated.

o What is the floor plan? This is one of the most important parts of the tent. It is where you are going to set up camp so you want it to be neat and clean. Having dirty grass in your tent is not a good idea. You might not even want to take your shoes in the morning if you have to walk in them!

Once you figure all of these things out, then you can go ahead and decide on the color and the material that you want the tent to be made of. Wood is always the least expensive option but you have to make sure that it is treated properly. Some vinyl tents are not treated at all which can easily deteriorate over time. Then you are looking at paint and other materials that you will need to decorate the inside of the tent. All of these things will play a major role in how attractive your screen room tent is.
