Their a3 suspension system is used in the construction of their Airstream backpack which helps make the bag lighter while providing superior support.

Sleeping: Gregory has designed their Airstream to meet the needs of any avid hiker. The backpack features an expandable comfort zone that can be used to customize sleeping conditions. There is also a hip belt made of polyester webbing that is highly adjustable and comfortable. High-quality mesh side panels help keep your gear clean when you are sleeping and also allow airflow to keep you cool. There is also an insulated footwell which allows you to stay warm during the cooler evenings. There is also a padded back panel which is very comfortable.

Durability: Even though Gregory has slimmed down their models, they still remain extremely durable. They are constructed of a ten-layer nylon ripstop shell which makes them more durable and less prone to punctures. Gregory backpacks also feature a fully adjustable airdyne line which can help minimize stress on your back while hiking and at the same time prevent slippage.
